The first written notes of this hotel, which is located just a few steps from the gate of Prague Castle, date back to 1372. In 1723-32, when owned by the official of Czech Royal Chamber Baltazar Knapp, the house saw a thorough reconstruction that put it in the today´s shape. After a complete reconstruction,in May 2000 the Golden Star House reopened its ancient gate.
